Community-on-the-Verge

CoVe or Community-on-the-Verge is a food garden on the perimeter of Alstonville Anglicans Church, St Bartholomew’s, on the corner of Daley Street and The Avenue, Alstonville NSW 2477. 

Adapting principles from Permaculture and Verge food planting, veggies, fruit, edible plants, and herbs are planted. 

All are invited to harvest food as it ripens. 

The Community-on-the-Verge is not just about growing food, it is about connecting people. The Food Garden will place trust and confidence in the Alstonville villagers to 

·      harvest and plant, 

·      care for the earth,

·      care for people, 

·      take and give their fair share. 

What we want from you:

1.   Join in the fun and plant, harvest, sow, and water if and whenever you want. 

2.   Know that the garden is there for your use and to serve your organisation.

3.   Simply enjoy the garden every time you walk past. Receive it as a gift.
